Let’s face it. Some dogs are funny looking. The Chinese Crested dog, for instance, is a critter that only a mother could love. That funny mop of hair on its head and that bald, skinny body makes it just, well, homely. Sorry, fella! But it’s true. That’s why Chinese Cresteds have dominated the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest in California for years (until a boxer mix with an underbite took the crown in 2009).
But even funny looking dogs can be lovable. Two examples are the Chinese shar-pei and the Chihuahua. Some people laugh at ‘em. Some people love ‘em. If you fall in either camp, here are some dog Christmas cards and gifts featuring these silly canines.

Here’s a T-shirt for dog lovers who aren’t in the Christmas spirt. This Chinese shar-pei in a Santa hat is saying, “Paw, humbug!” All those wrinkles do make him look a little grumpy, but I’d still say he’s cuter than Ebenezer Scrooge any day!
